Foaling Out Services

• Foaling Services $300 + Daily Board
• 24 hour mare watch
• Delivery assistance for mare.
• Visual Inspection of mare & baby.
• Foal is given Colostrum Booster immediately and on days 7,8 & 9.
• Foal is given antibiotics and a Tetanus shot upon birth.
• Iodine Navel immediately and 8 hours later.
• Inspect placenta for any irregularities.
• Inspect for adequate milk production and foal latching on.
• Uterine infusion with antibiotics on mare within 24 hours after foaling.
• Deworm mare with Ivermectin within 24 hours after foaling.

Additional Services

• Suggest Plasma administered to foal on day 1 & day 21 to increase the foal’s antibodies to dangerous illnesses
• Placenta Removal if mare is having difficulty passing on her own
• Mare given medications for discomfort if necessary after passing placenta
